Organico harvests their olives exclusively by mechanical means, by individual olive branch pickers, trunk vibrators or by manual picking and mowing method. The olives fall into mesh nets placed under the trees from where they are unloaded to the vehicles that take them to the oil mill. These operations are carried out in broad daylight and during the normal working day, avoiding the hours of sunrise and sunset due to lack of light. The olive groves are highly modified busy environments with high acoustic contamination due to the noise of machinery engines. This makes the area an unlikely refuge for wildlife.
